Vintage Photo Friday

This is Larry's Dad, J. Hoyt Underhill.  From what Larry tells me, this photo was taken in the mid 1920's.  We didn't know that Hoyt played the ukulele!  It looks like Hoyt is playing a pineapple uke.
The uke was all the rage in the 1920's and Hoyt, being modern and full o' fun, went along with the trend.
Most of the Underhills in the U.S. are related in some way to Captain John Underhill.  The  Underhill genealogy is vast and impressive. I only knew Hoyt during the first 10 years of our marriage, until he passed away. He was always sweet, fun-loving and easy to be around.  Larry is very much like his Dad.
Have a wonderful weekend!
