License to Snap

I like to snap shots of vanity license plates around Los Angeles.  Here are two, recently seen:

    Oh my goodness, I thought it was an "I" not a "1" and I was reading it as "Iceland SL" and I was wondering what SL stood for. I see I misread it. :)
