Blue and White
My Mother has decorated our home in blue and white, off and on, since the early 1960's. Baby blue and white were her colors in the early '60's. By the '70's, she'd switched to royal blue and white. Most of the time she threw in red accents. You'd think this would look a bit too patriotic, but it really looks sophisticated.
Mom's Pillows on MY red couch
Mom's birthday is tomorrow, so I whipped up a couple of crocheted pillows. The fronts of the pillows are in blue and white, of course. The backs are in solid blue (Red Heart Super Saver yarn, size "G" crochet hook). I think they look perfect with the rest of the decor! Happy Birthday, Mom!
Mom and her current husband recently moved to a lovely new apartment in Westwood. She dragged all of her blue and white stuff with her. In this incarnation of Roz's home decorating there are no accent colors other than the wood tones of some of the furniture. Larry and I were at the apartment last weekend, hanging all of the blue and white dishes and tiles on the walls, as well as other artwork. After surveying the place, I decided that they really needed some more blue and white pillows for their TV easy chairs.

They came out great, Ellen. Love the ripple one. And those "easy chairs" are so chic and stylish. I was imagining big ol' Lazyboys!
Lovely home! I too like the color blue and it decorates my entire home. I love turquoise, but all shades of blue work well together, especially in the kitchen and bedroom.
Perfect touch, those pillows.
