Cathedral Basilica, Santa Fe Plaza, New Mexico |
Leah, Shayne and I had a great weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We toured around the Santa Fe Plaza on Saturday. Mostly, we shopped! We also toured the beautiful Cathedral on the Plaza, visited the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and had some tasty treats.

We stayed at the Adobe Abode Bed & Breakfast, a few blocks from the Plaza. In addition to the property where we stayed (an old house with cottages in back), there are a few other cottages within walking distance to the main house.

Every morning the guests meet in the main house for a delicious breakfast served by Nelly. We had some lively and informative conversation around the breakfast table.

I would definitely recommend staying at the Abode if you're in Santa Fe. The rooms were very comfortable and colorful. It took us a bit to get used to the punch-codes to get into each room, but eventually we figured out their system. There are numerous places for lounging, reading, knitting and gathering with friends for conversation and cocktails. The Santa Fe, laid-back vibe permeates this town.
Thanks, Shayne and Leah for a memorable birthday celebration weekend!
