Tuning Fork Gastropub

Last weekend we climbed over the hill and through the canyon to Studio City with Audrey and Jeff to belatedly celebrate Audrey's birthday.  Audrey chose the Tuning Fork Gastropub as our dining destination.  Audrey and Jeff frequent the downtown jazz club the Blue Whale.  Their fave bartender from the Whale just opened this little restaurant on Ventura Place in Studio City.
Tuning Fork is a very friendly, welcoming spot.  There's an enormous list of micro-brews and unique wines.  We all opted for beer, along with one of their flatbread appetizers.

We each ordered something different.  I ordered the Chopped Salad.  Larry ordered the Cheeseburger.  Audrey ordered a Turkey Burger. Jeff ordered Duck.  For dessert we shared "Murder By Chocolate."  I do love how they splattered the raspberry sauce across the "crime scene" like blood and added a dagger in the center of the chocolate.  Yes, it was divine!

We had an excellent time at the Tuning Fork.  The food was delicious and extremely fresh.  We will definitely return when we find ourselves in Studio City.

Audrey looks stunning in her new "Elise" birthday shawlette, crocheted by yours truly.
The highlight of the evening was walking down the block after dinner to discover Larry's childhood happy place, Kit-Kraft Hobby Store!
