A Good Valentine's Day
We had a lovely Valentine's Day on Sunday. We started out with breakfast at Cindy's in Eagle Rock. Cindy's is a refurbished coffee shop from the 60's with excellent signage.
All of their food is healthier than the usual coffee shop fare. Larry had the Belgian Waffle and I ordered the Green Goddess Omelet with spinach, artichoke hearts, asparagus, gruyere and parsley pesto. YUM! Everything was delicious!
After breakfast we drove the short distance to Glendale to visit the Museum of Neon Art. MONA has moved around quite a bit in the last 10 years. We used to visit MONA a lot when they were in downtown LA. The new space on Brand Boulevard in the middle of Glendale is gorgeous! It's also directly across the street from the Americana on Brand...a perfect location for walk-in biz.
The building has been remodeled to handle large neon art pieces and vintage neon signage. The gift shop is excellent too. It was great running into Director of MONA and neon artist, Kim Koga. We toured the neon art and took LOTS of photos!

Yes, Larry is a sweetie. He thinks my heart garland looks like Mardi Gras beads!
