Raise High The Roof Beam, Carpenters

Our carpenters added the roof beams to our room addition. I love how they slant, hopefully upward to the sky, The modern look goes well with our Studio-Garage building at the back of the property. Luckily, this modern addition doesn't show from the street. It's quite a difference from the traditional Spanish Revival style of the front of the house. We wouldn't want to startle any passers-by.
Now that the framing is up, we are able to actually see where the laundry room, bathroom and closets will be placed. Everything is shaping up nicely. I can almost picture my clothes, BREATHING in the new closet. Sigh. I can't wait.
Estimated finish date: Christmas 2008.

Hello to a fellow LA knitter!

How exciting to be building (we built back in 93) I hope it all goes smoothly for a Christmas move in!

Your tea cozy came out great, BTW.

great progress on the remodel! Are the two structures connected? I see this indentation between the 2 buildings. Also, will you have separate his/hers closets?
