Opening Today
Wooo Hoooo! "The Simpsons Movie" is opening today. I'm a long-time fan. I was working at 20th Century Fox when The Tracey Ullman Show featured short snippets of the Simpson clan. I see creator, Matt Groening around town all the time....at last year's Felt Club, at music events, at art shows, etc. We're about the same age and have similar cultural references. Mr. Larry and I never miss "The Simpsons" TV show on Sunday nights.
The movie has been reviewed...favorably and not so much. I DON'T CARE! I can't wait to see it this weekend!
I was thrilled when this site was circulated to create your own Simpsons Avatar. I've created Ellen and Larry "Simpson". Have a great weekend!

You two are cute in any and all media whether crocheted yarn dolls or digital avatars...woo hoo!
Ellen, the Burbank Kwik-E is just down the street from me, it's so exciting! I'm so thrilled to hear that you have Simpson history. But I would expect no less, really.
Love you!
Ooo...Christine...you are so lucky to live near the Quik-E-Mart. I think there's one on Venice Blvd. in WLA. I must check into it.
Another tenuous connection I have with "The Simpsons" is that I went to High School with Julie Kavner (the voice of Marge). She was a year ahead of me in school. I was in the marching band and she was a flag girl! We were also at San Diego State for a year or two at the same time. We used to say "hi" in the halls. My aunt and uncle lived in her parents' duplex for awhile.
Six degrees over and over!
OMG! Your Ellen "Simpson" looks just like somebody I know. Kinda creepy....
I love Ellen and Larry Simpson; I'm off to see if I can make one of myself and like it. I hear the 7-11 in Westwood is also a Kwik-E. Chutney-flavored squishees... yummmmmm.
Love your avatars! My avatar doesn't look exactly like me, but I love it anyway.
Psst - The other Kwik-E-Mart in L.A. is on the northeast corner of Venice and Sepulveda. Run, don't walk - the stores will be up until next Wednesday!
Great avatars!!!!! You are so talented!
I totally want one now!
I may have to hit the Multi Plex after school.
I *loved* the Tracy Ullman show, and I love that you give her the props she deserves for giving Simpsons their start. I was going to comment earlier, but I got distracted by the avatars. Your's looks *just* like you. Mine didn't look anything like me, and I couldn't get one to look like the Monkeygurrl.
Sigh. Again, your talent is lightyears beyond mine.
