Brunch at The Larder

Baked Goods @The Larder

On Sunday we met Mom at The Larder for brunch.  Larry and I have been to The Larder several times, mostly for dinner.  This is a casual place with delicious food, imagined by chefs Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne.  We arrived at 10:30.  By 11 am on a Sunday, there was a line out the door.  The heavy rainstorms of Saturday were over and everyone came out of their houses for some sunshine and breakfast!

You order your food at the counter where you can also see the delicious baked goods for sale.  Then, you find a table and a waiter will bring your beverages and your meal.  There are all kinds of pre-made salads, rolls, drinks and other delicacies you can take to go.  The Larder is like a fancy mini-market and restaurant.
The brunch menu is limited, but everything is delicious.  Mom had the brisket hash with sunny-side eggs and horseradish cream; Larry had soft scrambled eggs with fontina, soft herbs and creme fraiche and ham; I ordered the decadent Tavern Benedict with gruyére,  hollandaise and prosciutto.  Double yum!

An added plus is that The Larder is right next door to Trader Joe's, just in case you want to pick up a few groceries.  Both places are on the ground floor of Rick Caruso's 8500 Burton Way...very fancy apartments on the edge of Beverly Hills.
The Larder is on the North end of the 8500 Complex
We will DEFINITELY return to The Larder At Burton Way for more yummy meals!
