Vintage Photo Friday - Yarnies!
1955. Reseda. Jewish Home for the Aged. Residents Knit Holiday Gifts for Charity. LAPL Photo Archives |
Groups of people have been getting together for centuries to sew, knit, crochet, quilt and do other forms of stitching together. I am fortunate to be a founding member of the West Hollywood Stitch 'n Bitch (WeHo SnB). This year is our tenth year together as a group. We meet at the Original Farmers Market, 3rd and Fairfax, upstairs dining area, from 7-9pm every Thursday night. I count many of these people as my best friends. We've united over a common interest, but have gone beyond yarn-love to become more involved with each others lives. It is truly wonderful to be part of such a brilliantly fabulous circle of friends.

Here are some group photos of the WeHo SnB from the past ten years. The membership has shifted as people move away, but we remain a strong and dedicated group! Happy Anniversary, my friends!
