Patriotic Party-palooza!

4th of July Trifle Pudding Parfait at Maggie's and Bill's House

We were lucky to attend TWO parties this past holiday weekend! Margina and Gary invited us to a 3rd of July party and Maggie and Bill invited us to their 4th of July party! Wow! I'm red, white and blued-out! Each party was fun in it's own way. Both had delicious food, gracious hosts and fun guests.
Ol' Work Buddies, Gary and Larry

Margina and Gary live in Torrance. We haven't been to their house in years, so it was fun to see all of the improvements they've made. Their backyard is PERFECT for entertaining.  I took notes and photos for Mr. Larry!
Margina's and Gary's son, Dillon has the spirit!

In addition to side salads and desserts made by Margina and many guests, they hired a taco guy!  He pulled up in the alley and loaded in his stove, tables, tacos, quesadillas, salad, rice and beans with an array of salsas too!  Wow! It was a perfectly delicious way to while away the afternoon and evening.

I must say, I've never seen a more organized party. Even the cooler chests were labeled with the drinks that were inside! Thanks Margina and Gary for a great party! To see MORE photos of the 3rd of July party, click HERE.
The view from Maggie's and Bill's backyard

On the 4th of July we zoomed up to Maggie's and Bill's hilltop home in Studio City for their annual gathering. So many people! Everyone brought something delicious to share. There were salads, dips, veggies, burgers, kabobs and more. It really was an eating extravaganza.

Bill and Maggie live on a hillside. The plateau just below their yard is a feeding ground for the neighborhood deer! I'm always amazed to see wildlife right in the middle of the City.
As the skies darkened, we could see fireworks going off in the areas north of Ventura Boulevard. The big, professional fireworks shows started around 9pm at CBS Redford Studio and at Universal Studio. Wow! Some of us climbed up to the roof for a 365 degree view.
