Cookie Palooza

St. Patrick's Day, Easter & March Madness Cookie Palooza

A couple of times a year our office holds a "Cookie Palooza." Basically, it's a reason to have sweets and provide them for free to the office by having employees do the baking. Usually, at least 10-15 baker/employees participate. It's a nice break in the day for everyone. Sometimes there is judging and prizes. This time there were copious compliments and much lip-smacking...no prizes.
I contributed my "Brown Sugar Chippies" which are really just the classic Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe using all brown sugar, no white sugar.

Judy's Thumbprint Shortbread Cookies
Ginny's Chocolate Chip Cookies were, by far, the best of the bunch!

Of course, EVERYONE in the office with a sweet tooth comes downstairs to have cookies. It's a nice event.

Do you have events like this at your office?

What a fun idea! All the cookies look delicious. Love your office ~ a very modern, bright, and open environment ~ a good spot to think great thoughts!

What fun. Those last cookies looked the most tempting of all (but I wouldn't have turned down any of them!)

We have had some baking events here, but generally they were fundraisers (i.e., no free cookies!!), which are not as fun, but (I guess) for a good cause.

Several places I've worked (15 people, and I was the only girl in the bunch) we would have a shop potluck lunch. Usually for a big holiday. We didn't have a signup sheet, it would be a total surprise as to how many main dishes and how many desserts we would have. some of the bachelor guys were very creative, and the married guys had to fess up if their wife did the cooking. Lots of fun.
