Double Tribute
September 11th. It's a sad day of remembrance for many. We are remembering and honoring the people who were killed in the four coordinated terrorist attaches on the United States in 2001. We also honor the men and woman who lost their lives, trying to save the injured and their efforts in clearing the debris after the attacks. 12 years later, we are still experiencing the aftermath of those attacks.

This is also the birthday of my recently departed friend, John "Juke" Logan. He would have been 67 years old today. He missed his birthday by less than two weeks. We celebrated many birthdays together. Juke did not like sweets, so he never ate a bite of his birthday cake, but he made a big deal out of making a wish and blowing out the candles. I wish he was still here, strong, happy, healthy and talented.
