TODAY is the actual day of our wedding anniversary. Larry and I were married at the Downtown L.A. Courthouse on Mardi Gras morning, 1992. It was a gray, cloudy day with intermittent rain showers, much like today. We drove to the Courthouse with Larry's best man, Jon and my maid of honor, Ruth. Larry's camera crew from his aerospace photo department met us Downtown: Greg, Tony and Mike. They shot video and stills of the ceremony, to be shown during the summer at our backyard reception.
After the ceremony by an L.A. County Clerk, we walked outside to take some pictures during the break in the rain. We managed to get shots with the beautiful, iconic L.A. City Hall in the background. The camera crew went back to work. Larry, Jon, Ruth and I had a lovely dim sum brunch at the Empress Pavillion in China Town. The Empress closed last year, but there are rumors that it will open again soon. We must return for some anniversary dim sum!

My Mom and Dad also had a mini-reception for us later in the month at the Del Rey Yacht Club. We had lots of celebrations for our special day.

Larry and I returned home in the afternoon to the surprise of an authentic King Cake mailed to us by our friend, Kate, from Louisiana. King Cake makes a perfect wedding cake!
The next day, Larry and I took the Big White Steamer to Santa Catalina Island for our honeymoon. There's nothing more romantic than that beautiful Island in the spring rains. We had a glorious holiday.

The last 22 years has been a wonderful time of making memories for this happy couple. I look forward to many more years of joy with my Sweetie Pie!
