Taa-Daaaa!

Finished the 5-Hour Baby Sweater! I found these perfect clear plastic buttons at International Silks and Woolens on Beverly Blvd. in West Hollywood. They have an amazing notions department at this fabric shop!
Larry took these great photos of Baby Sweet Pea on a dark and rainy day on our front porch. The lucky recipent for this darling sweater will be Baby Vivian...as soon as she comes back to the WeHo SnB. She didn't make it last Thursday due to nappage.

Larry took those shots on a dark and rainy day? Geez he is good! Nice model!

But seriously, the sweater turned out great and I so love the color - it's marvelous! My resistance to knitting baby items is due to distaste for the pastel colors people usually prefer. The pink baby blanket I made last year just about did me in.

So perfect! I've added it to my go-to list of kids knitting.

It's perfect! What a nice sweater for Vivian.

I find the people at International entirely too crotchety. I do shop there in a pinch, though.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I've started another sweater, same pattern, different yarn. This is really a fun pattern to make.

Oh Carla! Yes, the people at Int'l. Silks and Woolens are crochetdy sometimes. Maybe it's a cultural thing. Most of them are of Easter European descent...my people...I identify. I always have a laugh when I'm in that notions department.
