Bon Ton Roulet

Let the Good Times Roll!
In addition to being Super Tuesday voting day it's Mardi Gras! We spent most of this past weekend at the Original Farmers Market for their Mardi Gras party....it was great! There was music, dancing, good food and excellent people watching. You can still do some celebrating TONIGHT at the Farmers Market from 6-8pm. Eddie Baytos and his band will be performing near the Gumbo Pot at the West End of the Market.
Here are some photo highlights of this past weekend:

Larry and I met in Louisiana at Jazz Fest 1990. We got married on Fat Tuesday, 1992. At our Lousiana-style wedding reception, the Zydeco Party Band performed and we had a Cajun/Creole dinner for our guests. As you can see, we've tried to keep that Louisiana spirit alive. Mardi Gras is early this year, so we still have almost a month to go before the exact date of our anniversary, but we like to celebrate alot.
Bon Ton Roulet, y'all!

And do laissez les bon temps rouler as well! Gotta keep that happy N'awlins feeling going, even here in SoCal!
I'll be celebrating at quilting class--hmm, maybe I should bring them a King Cake? For sure, I'll wear my beads in your honor!

You and Larry look so festive...love the hat and crown! Now I understand why it is such a big celebration for you two. Early Happy Anniversary!
