WIP Weekend
Baby Sweater, needs buttons
This is going to be a WIP weekend. In knitspeak, WIP stands for Work In Progress. I have many of these works sitting in totebags around the house. Some of the projects are half-done, some just need some finishing touches like buttons or seams sewn.
Ellen Sweater, needs 1/2-body, 1/2-sleeves, edging
Cable purse, needs lining, attach sides/strap, sew on buttons
Lizard Ridge Crochet Afghan, needs about 75 more rows
Saturday and Sunday I'll be at the Farmers Market Mardi Gras Celebration, in addition to a Super Bowl Party on Sunday. These are both perfect occasions to finish up some WIPS. If I'm sittin', I'm knittin'.
Granny Tote, needs to be attached to vinyl lining, sew on strapsLizard Ridge Crochet Afghan, needs about 75 more rows
How many WIPs do you have hangin' around?

Oh Ellen,
I must have at least 20 WIPs sitting around my house. Please don't remind me! Have a great WIP weekend.

You are so brave to air your all of your WIPs. I have 7 or 8 active ones and others that shall remain anonymous.
I lost count at 37. Many of them are just waiting to be frogged. These are perfect for when I am procrastinating on a deadline.
Do you think you will finish all of the ones you show here this weekend?
Go, Ellen!
Your wips are lovely. I especially love the Lizard Ridge blanket and the Granny Square purse. Go for it! You're encouraging me to unearth some of mine too.
Ehhh...I considering them to be "hibernating". Meaning they'll be back out to see the light of day in the Spring! I like the colors on the cable purse, is that Noro?
That tote looks great! I have an old vinyl purse and this gives me a great idea....
Hope you're having fun at the Market! Happy soon-to-be-Mardi Gras!
Hmm, I have 4 WIPs and 1 UFO at the moment. About usual for me...though spring fever seems to have come early this year, and I want to cast on 10 more. But I'm resisting the siren lure of the stash yarn, until I finish something.
Lizard Ridge is gorgeous. Work on that one! :)
Hi Ellen.
I have about six WIPs and although most of them are nearly finished I'm working on the one that's going to take me the longest ~ a raglan cardigan ~ because I really want to learn how to knit properly this year.
Your work looks beautiful. I, too, love the Lizard Ridge afghan ~ gorgeous colours!
So nice to see I'm not the only one with a plethora of WIPs! There are a couple that have achieved UFO status--though a couple should be ULOx, Un Loved Objects which have a "duty" attached to them. Oh well. I signed up for Mission Possible 2008 on Ravelry and have listed my knitty goals there.
Then there's the fabric stash, and the pile of quilty UFOs. Sigh. Someone needs to take my credit cards and my car away, and make me sit home and take care of this stuff!
You make so many great points here that I read your article a couple of times.
