Happy Madge Day!
On Saturday many of us trekked out to Annette's beautiful home in Claremont to celebrate the fact that Madge and her handsome husband, Tom are NOT moving to Iowa! Tom had an Iowan job offer that was difficult to resist, but his current employers here in L.A. made him a counter-offer that he just couldn't refuse. Subsequently, Madgik and Tom will not have to endure freezing Iowa winters or sweltering Iowa summers! Yayyyy!
Annette organized a beautiful party. We all brought something to share for lunch. It was truly a feast! We had all sorts of yummy dips and appetizers, salads and desserts. Everyone brought some great yarn from their stashes to swap, and we actually got some knitting done on Annette's and Jeff's beautiful backyard patio. The weather was just perfect too!
In addition to having a great afternoon, I scored some nifty yarn in the swap!
Thanks Madge for providing us a perfect reason to celebrate!

What a great time! I'm glad you were able to join us waaaay on the eastside. Your food pictures look so delicious, almost as good as it tasted.
Good news indeed!!!
Hugs and love to Madge!

Thanks for the pictures, Ellen! I was really sorry that I missed the party, but it would have been hard to drop in from Denver...
Great pics Ellen! The party was so fun. Thanks again for driving out to the boondocks. :)
We do know how to have a good time, don't we? Thanks for coming! And for the lovely write up. It's good to be staying in LA with all my amigos!
What fun! I can't decide which looks more luscious - the food or the yarn. :) Yay for Madge and her hottie hubby - I've never been to Iowa, but it seems like she'd miss being in SoCal.
