Inspirations
Searching on the website RAVELRY is so inspirational. RAVELRY is like Facebook for knitters and crocheters. I've met so many other yarn artists through this amazing online community. There are free patterns too! The problem is, I find too many things that I want to crochet and knit. I'll never have enough time to make EVERYTHING!! Here are a few recent favorites:

Ooh, I like that gathered scarf. I won't be at SnB tonight. Have to pack to go back to MD. See you next week!

I've been very inspired by the book, "Just Kids," by Patti Smith.
Hi Julie!
Oh Yeah! I read Patti Smith's book. It was sad, but very insightful.
Neat. The owl-ornaments would make great luggage tags!
February Lady Sweater - I have always wanted to knit this sweater. The patterns and all sorts of mods are on Ravelry. My LYS in Lawrenceville, GA is having a KAL. I'm looking forward to knitting this sweater. I'll have to make lots of mods - but that is the fun of it.

Love both of those scarfs. Thanks for sharing. I will have to remember them for when I have finished my current projects.
Have a good weekend.
Hey Hester! The February Lady Sweater is a great pattern. You can customize it in so many ways. I base most of cardigans on this pattern! Are you on Ravelry? Friend me. I'm "ellblo."
I can't say enough about Ravelry! I'm Shadygrove. I've been lurking your projects for years. I made the Baby Derby Hat pre-Rav. I just now realized that's your design :)
I've also found a lot of inspiration on Pinterest, which I just joined a few weeks ago. I have WIMBARLE (works in mind beyond all reasonable life expectancy).
Oh, I got distracted from my original purpose, which was to mention that there's a similar crochet pattern on Rav for a gathered scarf: the Gathery Up Scarf by Marika Simon. I have it in my queue.
