This past Wednesday my long-time friend and schoolmate, Diana invited us to a cocktail party, preview of property from the estate of Les Paul at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills. Diana's son works at Julien's. It's a great space, right on Wilshire Boulevard at Bedford Drive. In fact, we just missed The President's motorcade leaving the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on his way to another fund-raiser on North Roxbury Drive.
Hitmakers, Les Paul and Mary Ford, 1952 Les Paul had an amazing amount of cool stuff! There are guitars, banjos, mandolins and other musical instruments; recording equipment; photographs; sheet music; ephemera; furniture from his studio and more! It was an impressive exhibit and delightful party.

The auction is going on today and tomorrow at the BH location. You can watch the proceedings live on the Julien's website.
Have a great weekend!
