Thanksgiving, a Family Tradition

Thanksgiving, 1956, Beverly Hills

Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving with my Mother's side of the family.  It is a tradition.  Aunt Mae and Uncle Marvin started hosting our family Thanksgivings way back in the dark ages.  Our family has changed and grown over the years, but Aunt Mae still hosts the family feast.  It's the one family get-together where everyone tries to get to Los Angeles.  MOST of us live in California, so it's do-able.
Thanksgiving is only two weeks away.  Have you pulled out those dog-eared family recipes?  Are you looking for the leaves to your dining room table?  Have you polished the silver, made sure the table-cloth and napkins are pressed?  There's a lot of preparation!  This year, Thanksgiving Day falls on the first day of Chanukah!  Who has a recipe for stuffing latkes?
Below are a few VINTAGE PHOTOS of our family, through the years, at various celebrations.  I look forward to celebrating with them in two weeks!
