Almost There
I've been working on Larry's green cardigan for a very long time, since early Summer 2007. Actually, I put it away for many moons and didn't work on it. If I had kept knitting, I probably would have finished it in a month! Well, it's almost done! I just have to add the pockets. I haven't blocked it yet, but I think it looks fairly decent. As Madgik says, "Stick a fork in it. It's done!"
Pattern: Modified from slipover in "Top Down Sweaters: Knit to Fit from Top to Bottom" by Doreen L. Marquart
Size: Men's Medium
Yarn: TLC Cotton Plus, 8 skeins
Needles: Addi Turbo Lace Circs, size 7 (body); size 6 (sleeves); size 4 (sleeve ribbing)
Larry's birthday is this Saturday, so at least I'll have something grand to give him. Must finish that Koigu necktie this week too!

WOO HOO!!! Congrats! And in time too--Happy birthday to Larry :-)
I think it's the fault of the TLC Cotton Plus. My "olympic" sweater (2006?!!!) was (IS) made of the same stuff, and although I *LOVE* it, I am about 3" from finishing, and have been since the olympics ended.
Sigh.
I'm glad to see Mister Larry will have better fortune.
Wow that looks really nice! Tell Larry Happy Birthday from me.
You are so creative, I love your model! I would never have thought of using an office chair!
Happy Knitting,
OOhh, it looks great. He will love it.
With a cherry on top! Woo hoo - Mr. Larry gets a birthday sweater! Excellent job, Ellen. And, uh, it looks blocked to me. (hehe just trying to save you some time to finish that necktie)
The sweater looks great. Larry is a lucky birthday boy!
So glad to see you have it done! That's the best part about BIG birthday gifts--once they are done, they are DONE. Now for that necktie... hmmm... well, it's Koigu. That alone is a big plus!
Hey, our hubbies have the same birthday! It is a very good day for husbands to be born on indeed.
Looking good. And you know I like the color.
You cannot beat Natalie finishing a tie, lol! She's been tortured by Joe's tie forever.
You're so right about Paris having nothing on downtown LA. That's why it was nice to look but not hard to keep my euros in my pocket.
Ooh, knitted lovelies for his bday! Fantastic! Hope he has a wonderful one!
It looks great! I had a long term cardigan too, but when I realized what got done while it was on hiatus I didn't feel too frustrated with it.
Thanks for all of the comments, ladies. I suppose it takes me actually FINISHING something for the comments to roll in!
Feels good to whip those WIPs eh?
That looks wonderful! Hope it's a fabulous birthday!
