Construction - Finished!
The Room Addition and Deck
Yesterday, we received our final certificate of inspection from the Building Department for our room addition! It's been a long haul...almost ten months. Over the weekend I moved into my new bathroom and put a few items into my new closet. We've started using our new washer and dryer. We're still retro-fitting the closets and buying cabinets, but I hope to move more items in this weekend.
Right now, we're working on window coverings, buying a bed and a few more items. The real work is just cleaning out my old closet, which is really our front bedroom. There's a lot of excavating to do...17 year's worth!
Next step is to have the driveway and portions of the backyard paved. Then we'll think about drought-resistant landscaping and serious interior decoration!
Compared to the pristine room addition, the rest of our house looks dreadful. Time for major sprucing-up!
Bleah!

Congratulations - that's so exciting!
You *know* I'm completely jealous about the whole thing (starting with your totally cute house), but that shot of the w/d just put me over the edge.
Yippeee!!!
And yeah, the washer/dryer kinds makes me swoon too. But not as much as new bathrooms do!
Oh, how exciting! You have a snazzy washer and dryer - I just got new ones too, but yours look much fancier.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! your new room!
To have something built just for you must be so satisfying. It will be fun to redecorate and what a sense of accomplishment. If you are going witn some drought resistant plants, Lavender, Rosemary and thyme and they have such wonderful fragrances. Oh by the way I am celebrating 1 year of blogging with a give away on my blog.
Wow!
Enjoy!
I'm jealous !
A new closet!
