Speranza
On Saturday night Larry and I met up with Gayle and Mike for dinner in Silver Lake at Speranza. We'd never been, but Gayle and Mike have been there often and recommended it. Luckily, it was not raining. We were seated on the heated patio.....SO heated that I had to take off my coat!
Speranza is a sweet little neighborhood bistro. There were a few birthdays being celebrated and quite a lively crowd. It's a very friendly and casual place.
Gayle and MikeThe Italian food was wonderful and reasonable. All of the pastas are homemade. We each had a different pasta and all were very tasty. There's no corkage fee at Speranza. Of course, we forgot to bring wine, but Bogie's Liquor Store is conveniently located right across the street. Perfect! After our meal, we ordered two desserts for the table, tiramisu and meringue cookies topped with whipped cream and fresh blueberries. Divine.

Gayle and I have known each other since kindergarten. Currently, we're both on our high school reunion committee, so it's very nice to catch up after all these years. Even though we've gone our own ways since school, we have led parallel lives and have much in common. Here's to many more get-togethers with Gayle and Mike!

yum looks good!
This is one of the best looking dinners - I love pasta! Hmmm may have to look this one up. Do they serve lunches?
Always fun to get together with old friends. We have company coming this week...one of my high school buddies. It will be fun to sit and catch up. Have a great week.
