Birthday Cruise
Sabot Races on Alamitos Bay
Peggy, Myra, Ana
"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the Skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour. A three hour tour." *
Well, yes we did! Almost. There were 7 of us (2 skippers) and it was a two hour tour. The seas were very calm and we came back right on time!
Ellene invited us for a birthday lunch and stitch cruise in Alamitos Bay yesterday. Ana and I drove from Santa Monica down to Long Beach. We met at the Alamitos Bay Yarn Co., shopped a bit. It's a beautiful LYS.

Then, we walked down the dock to our little island hopper for our cruise. It's been years since I visited this Marina. There's been so much development. There are many beautiful houses right along the water, beaches, the Tuna Club, restaurants and more.
B-Day Girl, Ellene and friends
Ellene served us a great lunch of Chinese Chicken salad, fresh fruit, fellaffel and hummus, bread and brownies for dessert! Ellene opened gifts and then we saw the sights of this vast Marina while knitting and/or crocheting. The weather was perfect and we all had a wonderful day!
I just love hangin' out with the Ladies Who Lunch. Thanks, Ellene for inviting us and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
