Border Grill Downtown
Saturday night was special! We were invited to the downtown Border Grill to celebrate Mary Jo's birthday! Wow! What a party that Alyson and Mary Jo planned!
The evening weather was perfect. Once the sun began to set, all of the office towers lit up and surrounded us, providing a romantic glow.
The guests were from all different aspects of Mary Jo's life. Because of our admiration and love for Mary Jo, everyone got along. Yeah....MJ has a wonderful group of family and friends.
Dinner was divine.
We started out with chips and the BEST guacamole, margaritas, sangria, wine, beer and more! For dinner, we were served small plates of empanadas and mini green-corn tamales. We were able to choose from 4 different entrees: Grilled Skirt Steak; Chile Relleno; Chicken Poblano Enchiladas; Yucatan Carnitas. I ordered the steak...faboo.
For dessert, Border Grill loaded up each table with a few plates of their beautiful pastries, cakes, churros, flan and more.
I hadn't been to Border Grill in ages, but I'm definitely going to visit more often...the food and ambiance are really wonderful. It was a heart-warming and grand celebration for my friend, Mary Jo. I'm so honored to have been included! To see more photos, click here.
