Dog Pin
I received my Ravellenic Games participation pin over the weekend from Ravelry. It depicts their mascot, Bob the dog, transformed into a golden Olympic hero. This is a "competition" to challenge yourself during the Games to complete a yarny project. We had many groups participating. There were various categories. There were over 10,000 Ravelers knitting, crocheting and/or spinning along during the Games. You can read more about it here. Bob, the dog has his own Ravelry page. I'm impressed.
I completed a pillow during the Games with a British theme.

The Bulldog Cafe at 1153 Washington Blvd. is not to be confused with the Pup Cafe at 12728 Washington Boulevard in Mar Vista.

Everyone remembers the Tail o' the Pup in West Hollywood! I wish the stand, which has been in storage for years, would be resurrected. The public LOVES dog-related venues and items!

Bob, the Boston Terrier, bears a striking resemblance to another dog pin that I own, depicting the Bull Dog Cafe in early Los Angeles.

There was also a chain of Barkie's hot dog stands in Los Angeles. I vaguely remember the Barkie's on Beverly Blvd. in Silverlake.
