Other Worldly

Vintage LP recently purchased by Mr. Larry
Mr. Larry likes to go to estate sales, garage and yard sales, thrift shops, antique stores, etc.  to add to his collection of records.  He buys records of all sizes and shapes, 45's, 78's and LP's.  We were out in the Joshua Tree area of the California desert recently where Larry purchased a number of items (books, records, toys) having to do with UFO's and outer space.
Neither of us had heard of Frank Comstock and his Orchestra, but it appears that Mr. Comstock has had an illustrious career. Read about him here
Larry and I especially love the photograph on this album cover.  It looks like a flying saucer flying through the clouds.  HOWEVER, if you know your Los Angeles architecture, you will realize that this is the Theme Building at the Los Angeles International Airport.....an iconic building in L.A. history!
Our friend, artist Danny Heller has depicted the Theme Building in many of his faboo paintings  in his LAX 2011 series.  I do love how Danny has captured the beauty of this building  at all different times of the day and night.

This building is inspirational in so many ways!
