Shuttle Chasing
On Friday evening, we resisted the pull toward Randy's Donuts on Manchester and La Cienega, near LAX, to view the Endeavour Shuttle on it's journey to the California Science Center at Exposition Park. Instead, we hopped over to nearby Pann's Restaurant for dinner. Pann's was offering a special Space-Age menu for the event.
Larry ordered the "Shuttle in Flight," which consisted of a super-long hot dog in a bun, flanked by two chicken wings. This configuration was supposed to look like the Shuttle....very cute AND tasty!

On Saturday, I went about my routine and attended various knitting groups. Larry ventured to Crenshaw near 77th Street at the Inglewood city border to photograph the behemoth on it's route. Tons of people came out to welcome Endeavour to our City. Because of troublesome trees and rooflines, Endeavour had to maneuver the streets very slowly. It was 15 hours late getting to it's destination near USC.
