The Knitting Tree
Interior, Knitting Tree, Culver City |
Late Saturday afternoon Larry and I zoomed to The Knitting Tree in Culver City. This new yarn shop took over the space formerly housing Yarns Unlimited (after their move from Santa Monica). The location is in the same small mall as Marshall's, 6285 Bristol Parkway, just south of the Westfield (Fox Hills) Mall, Culver City. There's plenty of parking and a few restaurants and coffee places in this small mall. Of course, Marshall's makes this a one-stop shopping experience!
The owners greatly improved the space. They painted the walls a soothing light blue color, added a few seating and teaching areas and set up tons of yarn bins. The bins are not even full yet. I expect they'll receive some huge shipments for the fall knitting and/or crocheting season. I'm sure there will be a full schedule of classes soon and other yarny events.
Larry doesn't mind hangin' out with the yarny set! |

It was quite a party on Saturday. Since we arrived in late afternoon, we missed most of the hilarity, but we scored some yummy snacks and of course some yarn, before we left!
Best of luck and success to Annette and the rest of the crew at The Knitting Tree!
