Summer Projects
Ravelry Details Here |
During the hot summer months, it's not very pleasant to be crocheting and/or knitting a heavy afghan or adult-sized sweater. You do NOT want the weight of a warm, heavy object sitting in your lap, keeping you warm! Ugh! Smaller projects are perfect for summertime yarniness!
I like to keep a supply of cotton washcloths and potholders on hand for gifts. The washcloth is the PERFECT item to create during the hot summer months. It's usually made with cotton or a cotton blend. It's small and manageable. It's a quick project to finish....instant gratification!
I'm participating in this year's Annual Dishcloth Swap on Ravelry. We have to make 5 dishcloths, same pattern, different colors by the due date, September 2nd. You still have time. Why don't you join us?
I finished this year's dishcloths (above). I like this pattern. I might make a few more to have on hand. If you want to be fancy, you can call these "spa" cloths and pair them with fancy soap for gifties. Lovely!
Here are a few more summertime projects that will NOT heat you up:
Sinkmates |
Ballband Dishcloth |
Tapestry Crochet Washcloths |
Lacy Cabled Sweater Washcloth |
Starfish Washcloth |
What projects are you working on this summer?
