Baby Shower
Last Saturday I co-hosted a baby shower for one of my young cousins, Mira. Luckily, the event was at my cousin Myrna's house, so she really had to do much of the prep-work, like cleaning, arranging, set-up, flowers, etc. Cousin Marilyn, Cousin Carolyn (the new grandma) and Marilyn's and Carolyn's Mom, Auntie Mae, all helped with the food and decorations for the party. All in all, the party was a success!

Our menu was great...easy to serve and eat fork food: Lobster salad on crackers, chicken salad, broccoli salad, mozarello/tomato salad, fruit salad. For dessert we had a selection of gorgeous pastries from Viktor Bene's Bakery at Gelson's. We all helped with the cooking. I contributed two of the salads, the broccoli w/red onions, white raisins, peanuts and honey mustard dressing; along with the mozarella balls, sun-dried tomatoes, baby tomatoes and vinaigrette dressing.

For party favors, I bought boxes of peppermint tea (hot pink), wound a pink yarn bow around each box and plopped them in a big basket...very popular party favor!
Mira and her husband, Greg are having a little girl. There were so many darling pink, baby girl gifties! It was a tiring day, but fulfilling and fun.

Looks like fun!
Aren't girl cousins great?!! You all look like you are having so much fun. And your mom looks beautiful, I see where you get your good looks.
The pink CoCo ensemble is too cute!
Looks like a great party. :)
Oh my goodness. That little girl in the photos is too precious for words. She could seriously be a model. I just want to smooch her cheeks.
