Progress on the Multi-Granny

I've been working on my multi-hued, variegated granny afghan between my other gazillion projects. I've got two rows of the afghan completed. I like to crochet the squares together in long strips and then join the strips. I know that my color placement is sometimes wonky (similar color squares next to each other), but this entire project is a wonky one! However, the stash-busting aspect is outstanding!

Hi Ellen,

The multi-toned afghan is coming along beautifully. Even though it sounds like you don't really like the color combinations, I think it looks great! Cozy AND colorful.

I think the wonkiness is what makes it so fantastic! It was great to see those colors from across the room.

Love the afghan! I'll have to haul my old one out of its dungeon--my seaming started to come apart after years of lovin' from the crew, but I couldn't part with it. Drat, now I need to go blog grannies. Oh well, everything old is new again sometime, right?
