The Enchanted Tiki and Luau Weekend at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood was divine. Larry and I attended the Saturday festivities hosted by the American Cinematheque, which included a screening of a 1963 episode of the "Hawaiian Eye" television show starring Robert Conrad, etc.; an open-air luau; a screening of "The Sophisticated Misfit" which is a documentary about one of our fave artists, Shag (aka Josh Agle) and a screening of "His Magesty O'Keefe" (1954) with Burt Lancaster which featured spectacular Fiji Island locations. We decided to forego the luau and suppered at the nearby Miceli's in-between features.

I love Hollywood, too. And now I want a Tiki handbag.
Wow! This looks like a great event, Ellen. I'll have to look into becoming a member of Cinematheque.
