House Cafe Redux
On Sunday our "Sometimes Sunday" Crochet Group celebrated Beth's b-day a few weeks early. It has been difficult for all of us to get together during the end of the summer. Everyone has vacation plans. This was an unexpected day when we could all gather at House Cafe for brunch. Audrey and Jeff introduced me to this restaurant last month. It was a perfect place to celebrate Beth. For some reason, this portion of Beverly Boulevard is never that busy on the weekend. Everyone is at restaurants on nearby Third Street, I guess. We almost had the place to ourselves.
The food is excellent we all ordered different items.

Corned Beef Hash and Eggs
To start, we were all served a tiny demitasse of the most delicious fresh mushroom soup! Along with a lovely rose' and other beverages, our brunch was perfect.
After brunch we went back to my house for presents, crochet and CAKE. Lori brought the most scrumptious carrot cake from Susina Bakery for the occasion.
