Jewelry-A-Rama-A-Go-Go

Every December my friends, Ruth and Johanna hold a fund raiser vintage jewelry sale for LARC.  They collect jewelry from their friends and acquaintances year-round for the sale.  Every bit of the proceeds are donated to this home for developmentally disabled adults.  Ruth and Johanna are saints.  The coordination alone that goes into a weekend home sale like this is colossal!

The event is always held at Johanna's home in the Hollywood Hills....a perfect example of streamline moderne architecture.  I never miss a chance to visit this beautifully restored home.

There were tables and tables of vintage costume jewelry in the dining room and living room.  I shopped for quite a while and ended up with some real treasures.

Johanna always serves snacks and refreshments in her perfectly restored deco kitchen.  I love seeing so many friends at the sale and meeting new ones too!
