Happy New Year!
Holiday Decorations at Pann's |
We had a quiet New Year's Eve this year. On Wednesday, pre-New Year's, we went to the movies ("Inside Lleywn Davis"....excellent) and then hopped over to our fave coffee shop, Pann's in Ladera Hts. for a scrumptious dinner.
On New Year's Eve, we repeated our movie experience and saw "Saving Mr. Banks"....also excellent). We dined at home on lobster bisque, salad and champagne. We zoomed over to the Farmers Market and saw a set of the Blue Hawaiians perform at EB's Bar. They are a very good band. We made it home in time to ring in the New Year with the rest of our fire-work-gun-toting neighbors!
This morning we caught the Rose Parade on TV and were very excited to see the very last float in the parade representing my home town, the City of Beverly Hills for this year's centennial! The volunteers did an excellent job flowering this float. It's gorgeous!
Watching the Parade |
The sun is out, the roses are blooming in our backyard and I'm stirring up a pot of Hoppin' John to insure health and happiness in the New Year!
