World Wide Stitch in Public Day, 2015. Photo by Todd |
I attended two events on Saturday for World Wide Stitch in Public Day! Both were fun! This is an international event with over 882 different groups participating, from 56 different countries! It's amazing to be part of such a wonderful group!
First thing, Saturday morning, I zoomed over to the Original Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax to hang with my West Hollywood Stitch 'n Bitch Group. There were at least 20 of us, which is a record for a Saturday morning meeting. Most people were there for the group photo (above).
It was great seeing old friends and wonderful to have a few NEW members! Thanks to all who attended and brought snacks to share.

Jenna was thrilled that she got to hold the "Ho" in WeHo SnB portion of our sign! |
Later in the afternoon I drove out to Santa Monica for the Fairview Knitters World Wide Stitch in Public Meet-up at Clover Park. The sun was in and out of the clouds, but it really was a beautiful day to knit outside! A few members showed up with their adorable dogs. This is a plus when meeting in the park. As long as the puppies are on a leash, they too can enjoy the yarn, camaraderie and squirrels!

We were a small, but mighty group! |
I LOVE knitting outside in the park. Since the Fairview Library is closed for remodeling, I think we should meet at Clover Park. Let's do it! Every second, fourth and fifth Saturdays, 3:30-5:30, come knit and/or crochet with us at the park!
