Los Feliz Saturday Night
On Saturday we met up with our friends, Julie and Buzz, along with Buzz's brother Bobby and Bobby's wife, Colleen at The Dresden in Los Feliz for dinner. We were attending an 8pm show at the nearby Steve Allen Theater featuring Julie's and Buzz's son, Justin.

I hadn't been to The Dresden in ages. It is the coolest restaurant with a very swanky early 1960s vibe to it. The interior design is killer! We've never dined there, just visited the lounge for drinks to hear the famous Marty and Elayne croon their tunes. Our meal was delicious. I ordered the Veal Piccata. The slices of perfectly prepared veal were interspersed with equally beautifully prepared slices of zucchini, served with a side of pasta and a salad. Some in our party ordered fish, some pasta....everything looked divine. Can't wait to return when we can enjoy a more leisurely dinner.

We zoomed the few blocks to the Steve Allen Theater to see Justin do an inspired tap / clog dance for John Ennis's Country and Western Show. The show is a monthly comedy and country & western revue.
Each month there are different performers. Some of the performers are professional, some are not. Baby Richie was alarmingly entertaining. Everyone involved gave heartfelt performances.
It was great visiting with old friends and meeting new ones! Happy New Year!
