Potluck Thanksgiving at the Office
Starch Street Quadrant |
Every year we have a potluck Thanksgiving at the office. The company provides, turkey, ham, gravy and cranberry sauce. Each department has a specialty. My quadrant is always Starch Street. Media Department is always Dessert Drive. Other departments take care of greens, appetizers, beverages and more. It's always an amazing array of side-dishes!

Starch Street always has the longest line and the selections are usually decimated quickly. Same thing this year. Mac 'n cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. are all extremely popular!

Apparently, the ladies in Accounting Department have been working together way too long. They dressed alike today and didn't even check with each other ahead of time!

My Mac 'n Cheese was a hit! |
Every year Rochelle brings her cranberry jello. It's SOOOOO good. I begged her for the recipe and now I make it throughout the year. I'm spreading the goodness and giving you the recipe. Really. Make it for your Thanksgiving dinner. You can mess up the meal and all anyone will remember was how good this cranberry jello tasted!
Rochelle's Jelled Cranberry Mold
1 large box cherry Jello™
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 can crushed pineapple (blue can with syrup)
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 large box cherry Jello™
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 can crushed pineapple (blue can with syrup)
1 cup chopped walnuts
Dissolve the Jello™ in 2 cups boiling (or very hot) water. Add all the other ingredients, mix well and chill...that's it!
Rochelle's tip: She usually switches bowls after dissolving the Jello™since it leaves a grainy coating on the bowl. Next, she adds the cranberry sauce and uses a fork or spoon to really mash it up well (so you don't get chunks of cranberry sauce)...then the crushed pineapple and last, add the nuts.
Here I am EIGHT years ago, eating the remnants of Rochelle's Cranberry Jello. YUM!!!
2008 - This jello is STILL delicious! |
