Freeway Photos

I saw a very curious bus on the westbound Santa Monica Freeway, this morning. This did not look like a studio-sanctioned paint job. Some wild and wacky artist did his own take on the wonderful "Alice in Wonderland" adventure. Does anybody know this guy or what the bus is used for? The bus was empty, except for the driver, who appeared to be an ordinary, everyday bus driver, dressed appropriately.
I know, I know, I should probably be watching the road and my driving, but this was just too crazy!

That is one freaky bus. I am glad you survived the freeway photo session and that crazy thing in your rear view mirror.

That's not something you see every morning...I'm impressed you didn't run off the road when that appeared in your mirror.

I am now a "fan" of Alice the Wonder Bus on Facebook. The bus seems like a very nice entity. It would be fun to hire it for a field trip sometime!

I agree with the Wonder Bus guy, the movie was not that good. The bus is fantastic though!

Very cool! Wouldn't it be fun to take on a yarn crawl?! Expensive though...I'd rather spend the $$ on yarn! LOL - maybe we could barter a ride in exchange for handknits. :)

:D I'm the "wild and wacky" artist that painted the bus. You caught us on our trip from the auto shop getting some shiny new tires.

once we complete the inside in the next two weeks or so it's going to be covered with fur and all sorts of crazy things. currently the insides contain couches and cushions and colored lights.

Thanks for the capture! I love the rearview mirror shot!!

SO KEWEL!!! I agree with the above commenter - the movie, not so good (and you KNOW how I feel about Mr. Depp). The bus? Wicked kewel. Particularly the side view mirror shot. A woman of many talents you are!
