Weekend Calendar
Oh! Busy, busy, busy!!! Only 10 more days until Chanukah (sundown 12/21) , only 14 more days until Christmas! I've finished knitting and crocheting all of my holiday gifts, but then there are a few pesky December birthdays too! I always feel sorry for those people with birthdays in December and January. They usually receive "combo" gifts. So sad.
I'll be sewing buttons on all my gifty "scarflettes" this Saturday at three different Stitch 'n Bitch meetings. Saturday morning from 10am to noon, the once-a-month-Saturday SnB at the Original Farmers Market, 3rd and Fairfax, LA, upstairs dining area, will be convening. THEN, from 2-5 at the HomeGirl Cafe on Bruno St. and Alameda, downtown we can have a nice, late lunch and knit some more. From 3:30-5:30, out west in Santa Monica, the Fairview Knitters will be meeting at the Fairview Branch of the Santa Monica Library, Ocean Park & 21st. If it weren't for these meetings, I'd never get any knitting or crocheting done!!!

Also, during the day on Saturday, there will be a fund raiser to benefit the Bob Baker Marionette Theater, from 10 am until 5-ish. From the "L.A. Weekly" - The much beloved Bob Baker Marionette Theater is being threatened with foreclosure and needs us all to come to this fun-filled day which will take place at this historic venue and will feature Bob's famous puppet shows all day long, musical acts and special guests, arts & crafts, celebrity silent auction and raffle, art auction, circus performers, food and drinks for all ages. 1345 W. First St., LA, CA 90026 (Fillipino Town), 213/250-9995. Bob Baker is a very talented man and his theater is so much fun to visit. This is a very worthwhile event! On Sunday, Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra is holding a holiday arts and crafts fair. Info here.
On Sunday, take time to rest, relax and gather up all of the gifts you'll be giving this holiday season and start wrapping and tagging!

The scarflettes are looking fantastic!
I loved the Bob Baker puppet show as a kid! Do you know if there's anyway we can make a donation if we can't attend the fundraiser? The website doesn't seem to mention the fundraiser.
