Happy B-Day Brandi

Yesterday was Brandi Dailey's b-day. We celebrated at the newly named, Stitching Is An Art LYS in Santa Monica. The charity, Stitches From The Heart will still be located in the back of the shop, but the shop is now owned and operated by new buyer, Sandy. I'm sure there will be some design improvements to the shop, as well as some new merchandise. Be on the lookout for their "Christmas in July Sale" soon.
Happy B-Day, Brandi!
The shop was filled with SFTH volunteers who all brought fantastic food to share. Brandi is moving on from Manager of the shop to bigger and better things. I'm sure she'll still be at the charity, donating her time and gracing us all with her crochet knowledge.

I whipped up a version of my Rhoda scarf for Brandi using a pale celadon green Karabella "Breeze" which is a cashmere and silk blend. Crochet hook size "G". The scarf is verrrrry soft and drapey. I added a fan-like border on the ends of the scarf so that when it is tied around the neck, it looks like a lacey ascot.

BRANDI IS LEAVING STITCHES?!?! Brandi *MADE* Stitches!!! Seriously. I have never met such an enthusiastic enabler (well, other than YOU). Sad, sad, sad for us, but Happy Thoughts for Brandi. Plus, she got a lovely scarf out of the deal!

Don't worry, Monkeygurrrrrl...Brandi will still be around, just not ALLL the time!

Thanks for the scarf compliments, Denise and Claire. I just can't stop making this same pattern. It's so easy and everyone loves it!
