Christmas at the Office
Lobby Christmas Tree
The office is decorated with pine garlands, a tree and even a menorah as a salutation to us co-workers of the Jewish persuasion. This year Christmas and Chanukah are quite close. Chanukah starts at sundown on Sunday, December 21st and lasts for eight days.

Back to work. Today is our office holiday luncheon. It's being held at a hotel in West Hollywood. I'm looking forward to it. I had to miss last year's party due to out of town guests. It's always nice seeing your co-workers out of their work element AND there's the free lunch!
Yes, our office lobby has a space-age quality to it. Have a good weekend! ADDENDUM - Monday, December 15, 2008
Ballroom at the Sofitel Hotel, West Hollywood
There were faux blackjack tables with fake money, prizes, gift bags. There was a room set up where you could don vampire apparel and have your photo taken with a swampy background to simulate our hit show, "True Blood."
And, of course, the desserts were fabulous! Thanks, HBO for a great holiday party!Labels: Los Angeles

I think it's very nice that your employer includes menorahs in the holiday decorations! I don't think I've ever worked in a place that did that and I know many of my coworkers would have appreciated it.
For many years I worked for a company that did the most amazing employee party I've ever seen - which included running a separate party for the employee's children at the same time elsewhere in the same building! Actually, organizing that party every year was one of the best parts of my job and one of the few things I miss.
LOVE that hotel (although traffic is a beeyatch!) We have our holiday party tonite at the Bel Air Country Club. Lah-dee-dah!
Have a great time.
Hope you enjoyed your lunch Ellen! Have a great weekend.
The office looks festive. I hope the party was fun!
Nice!
We're having a potluck. In one of the meeting rooms.
Oy..
What is in the big bowls of pink foodstuffs?
Thanks for all the comments!
Alyce...the big bowl of pink stuff on the dessert table is COTTON CANDY. It seems that the Sofitel Hotel kitchen is known for making great cotton candy. Needless to say, it was difficult to serve. That's why most of the pink stuff stayed in it's silver serving bowl! LOL
